Ecobiz.asia – Indonesia’s Supernova Equatora Capital and Switzerland-based Clarmondial have launched a strategic partnership to scale up private investment in sustainable agriculture, agroforestry and ecosystem restoration projects across Indonesia, the firms said on Tuesday (September 2, 2025).

Backed by the Good Energies Foundation, the collaboration aims to mobilize capital for businesses that generate climate and biodiversity benefits while also supporting rural livelihoods.

Supernova Equatora Capital brings operational knowledge and networks in Indonesia, while Clarmondial contributes international investment experience and relationships with corporates and impact investors.

The two women-led firms said the partnership is designed to bridge gaps between local opportunities and global financing.

“We want to unlock the strong potential of Indonesian businesses to drive nature-positive transformation,” said Inez Stefanie, managing partner at Supernova Equatora. “This partnership is about collaboration, not control.”

The initiative will target investments in commodities including cacao, coffee, spices, palm oil derivatives and arenga sugar, as well as broader landscape-level projects aimed at strengthening climate resilience, biodiversity, supply chain traceability and market access.

Tanja Havemann, director at Clarmondial, said the effort will show “how global capital can align with local priorities to deliver real financial and impact outcomes.”

The partnership has drawn interest from regional family offices, corporates and impact investors, and is expected to channel follow-on financing through Clarmondial’s Food Securities Fund and the forthcoming Biosphere Integrity Fund.

Simon Siantidis of the Good Energies Foundation said the initiative represents “the kind of catalytic collaboration that can drive long-term environmental and social outcomes.”. ***
