“This event reinforces ABB’s role as a strategic technology partner in supporting Indonesia’s low-carbon development,” he said.

ABB has operated in Indonesia for more than 30 years. In the clean energy sector, the company is involved in two major projects: the Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant in West Java, where ABB supplied medium-voltage switchgear and protection systems, and the Ijen geothermal project in East Java, which uses ABB’s high-efficiency generators to boost performance.

The discussion emphasized the need for collaboration between technology, policy, and innovation to build a low-carbon industrial ecosystem.

“Indonesia has a major opportunity to leap toward a low-emission economy,” said Prof. Schaeffer. “But this can only be achieved through integrated solutions and cross-sector cooperation, where global players like ABB play a vital role.” ***
