SMI, GGGI Indonesia Sign MoU to Boost Sustainable Infrastructure and Green Financing

Ecobiz.asia – Indonesia’s state owned infrastructure financing and advisory firm PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Indonesia to strengthen collaboration in advancing sustainable infrastructure development and green financing in Indonesia.

The partnership aims to improve alignment between policy support and sustainable financing to help accelerate Indonesia’s energy transition. The cooperation also seeks to unlock investment opportunities that support inclusive and low carbon economic growth.

“Through strong preparation and MoU aligned actions, collaboration can move quickly toward meaningful early wins,” Reynaldi Hermansjah, President Director of PT SMI, said in a statement published on GGGI’s social media on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

Male Fofana, Asia Regional Director of GGGI, said aligning follow up actions with the MoU is critical to strengthening collaboration and unlocking future opportunities.

Under the MoU, both parties plan to enhance coordination with development partners and translate strategic collaboration into concrete programs and projects that contribute to Indonesia’s long term sustainable development goals.

The institute said the partnership with SMI represents an important step in strengthening Indonesia’s green financing ecosystem and accelerating the implementation of sustainable development initiatives nationwide. ***
